Dive Biography

I hail from a small town in TN and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1988 and currently am stationed at NAS Pensacola.  After travelling the globe; I decided to pursue diving professionally in 2011 through a military sponsored course and became a Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) Dive Master.   As a PADI Dive Master, I worked with aspiring scuba divers in Southern California diving up and down the coast and throughout the outlying Channel Islands, to include the famous Santa Catalina and Santa San Clemente Islands.  After doing my tenure grunt work, I continued the training to become a PADI Open Water Instructor and then shortly after a Master Dive Instructor.  I also have a passion for adaptive teaching of aspiring divers and have worked with great agencies such as Wounded Warriors.  I am also certified National Academy of SCUBA Educator (NASE) Open Water Instructor with Enriched Air Specialty.  Additionally, my PADI specialties include:

  • Search & Recovery InstructorJason
  • Underwater Navigator Instructor
  • Emergency O2 Provider Instructor
  • Dry Suit Instructor
  • Enriched Air Instructor
  • Wreck Instructor
  • Night Diver Instructor
  • Deep Instructor
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy Instructor
  • Project Aware Instructor
  • AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty Instructor
  • Care for Children w/AED Instructor
  • Adult/Youth CPR w/AED Primary and Secondary Care Instructor

I am still an Active Duty Marine of +26 years with aspirations to retire and teach my passion of diving to other full time.   I have a passion for the ocean which I want to share with all who have an adventurous spirit to find out what is “Down There”!
